I miss Siegfried.
Siegried was our neighbour and good friend across the road for nigh on 40 years.
We were once mistaken for father and son at the local supermarket.
Pleased us both no end.
He passed away in August, having achieved the 90 that he reckoned he wouldn’t see and that everyone else worked towards.
So when we went over the border to France, he’d get eclairs.
When Ms NTNDP made hummus or did some baking, a plate would go over the road.
England was always shortbread, USA was artisan jam and New Zealand was chocolate.
Locally made by real people.
Been around since 1896.
New Zealand’s most trusted brand.
Feels strange to see it and not buy some for him…..
