Appears that the local indiginous folk have been over the hill to Golden Bay and relieved some of the more feral inhabitants of their coiffure.

Could of course be skeins of wool at the Nelson Market, but I like my story better….

    i would like to see and follow the whole process; shearing, spinning and dying (or whatever they do with it afterwards), the process of producing a garment. and the finished product. I wonder how the shorn sheep are faring now?
