Dividing line

This what happens when an outgoing tide (top) gets chased along by the remnants of heavy rainfall in the hills issuing from the Waimea river into the estuary.

As much as I like rain, the sediment that it deposits on the estaury and ocean beds is no good for man nor beast

Least of all scallops……

  1. I’ve only seen something like this on occasional visits to the ocean.
