We met potters and artists Anne and John Crawford many years ago at a friend’s house.
John died 3 years ago this month and I bought his Water 2011, a South Island red clay coiled vessel in August of that year, having admired it and been tempted by it on a number of occasions. (A leap of faith, given the price)
It’s now installed in the cottage and Anne called in the other day – visting the same friends, who are now neighbours – to see the pot in its new surroundings. That’s a J.S. Parker painting)
This image has a magical quality about it – posed, but totally natural.
Makes me feel good.
It should do the same for you.
