How Bro Paul got me thrown out of the Auckland Art Gallery

IMG_7893

In Auckland last weekend and we rocked on over to the Light Show at the Auckland Art Gallery, having been highly recommended by Paul of Aucklad West fame.

It did say “No Photography”, but I figured that if Paul could get away with snapping some pics, then so could I.

Not a chance.

3 security poeoiple flung themselves at me, cuffs on in a flash.

“But Paul took pictures in here” I protested.

“Where is he, eh? We’ll arrest him too” they said.

Passport confiscated ( I appear to be a flight risk…), 200 hours of community service.

Wish I’d read his post more diligently….

  1. Oh boy… that’s a bit of overreacting if I’d ever heard of it!

  2. Wow! That does seem to be an extreme reaction. I wonder how they stop all the folks with cell phones from taking pictures?
